He was raised in the middle of our mother and father’s separation, but was spoiled rotten by both of his parents and older brothers and sister.

Matthew was very kind and courteous to everyone he came in contact with. He was very good with constructing and maintenance. From welding to woodworking, he was able to create a security door to a utility shed on his own. Matthew also learned how to construct metal doors with welding while working for his cousin (Chris Toler) in Maryland for several years.

When it came to sports….Matthew loved skateboarding when he was younger, and as he got older he loved motocross racing with professional racing motorcycles or dirtbikes…..he would always go to competitive bike races and win, lots of times within the top 3.

Matthew was also a father to one child. Matthew loved his son, Max and always tried his best to give him extravagant gifts for birthdays and holidays.

Matthew was once married to Nichole (Max’s mother). The relationship didn’t survive but the child they had together was something that was special and created a bond within the family. Max was, and continues to be that bond between his mother (Nichole) and our Cecil family.

Matthew was raised as a “golden child”. That is why it came as such a shock to everyone that knew him, when he took his own life in November 2013.

I miss him and sometimes I relive my life along with him, here….on my “cecilbook.me”

When I watch the movies and see Matthew in them, I still think he is here, living in another state……maybe Maryland…maybe Heaven . . . and I still think I will see him again….

<iframe loading="lazy" title="R.I.P.
